Who can apply for the law clinics?<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Full-time NUS Law LLB students who have completed their first two years of studies, and JD students who have completed their first year of study are eligible. LLM students are generally not eligible unless specified. For queries on eligibility, please reach out to your Academic Affairs representative for clarification.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>2. When and how can I apply for the law clinics?<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Clinic courses are currently offered in three tranches per academic year, running for 12 weeks per tranche:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Summer Tranche (May to July)<\/strong> &#8211; Apply in April<\/li>\n<li><strong>Semester One Tranche (August to November)<\/strong> &#8211; Apply in July<\/li>\n<li><strong>Semester Two Tranche (December to April)<\/strong> &#8211; Apply in October<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>CPBCLE sends email notifications to eligible students on the available law clinics and the application deadline at the start of every application cycle. Interviews may be required for select clinics.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>3. How are students allocated to clinics?<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Subject to availability, allocation is based on the following factors, which are not exhaustive:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Student&#8217;s preferred clinic<\/li>\n<li>Relevant courses taken<\/li>\n<li>Statement of interest<\/li>\n<li>Interview performance (where applicable)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>4. Can I apply for the law clinics again if my application was unsuccessful?<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Yes, you may apply for your preferred clinics in subsequent tranches.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>5. Can I take more than one clinic in a semester?<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>If a student&#8217;s application is successful, the student is typically allocated only one clinic per semester.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>6. I have been selected for a law clinic. Do I have to ballot for the clinic course code, or will it be automatically allocated to me?<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>The law clinic elective will be pre-allocated to you, and you will not be required to separately ballot for the same clinic elective.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>7 Will being selected for a law clinic elective affect my ranked choices, e.g. first-choice indication for another course?
