Under this arrangement, students will complete three\u00a0years at NUS and then go to Boston to read\u00a0an LLM for\u00a0one year, on a tuition fee waiver basis. The application outcome of the SEP and the LLB-LLM\u00a0programmes\u00a0are normally\u00a0made known sometime in January. At that point, if you are selected for both\u00a0programmes, you\u00a0must decide which\u00a0programme\u00a0you will opt\u00a0for\u00a0and you must withdraw from the other\u00a0programme. You cannot hold on to both options.\u200b<\/p>\n<p>Thus, students who accept an exchange place will be precluded from pursuing the LLB-LLM programme. Students who withdraw from the exchange to pursue the LLB-LLM\u00a0programme\u00a0where the final selection by Boston is not confirmed, will be allowed to re-apply for exchange in\u00a0Year 3 to go on exchange in Semester 1 of Year 4, should their Boston applications be\u00a0unsuccessful. Re-application for exchange at this point will be subject to available places and it\u00a0falling within the possible application window period of partner universities.<br \/>\u200b<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-charcodes=\"216\" data-font=\"Wingdings,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"280\" data-aria-posinset=\"2\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><b>What are the selection criteria?<\/b>\u200b\n<p>The selection criteria include your academic grades, character and personal statement. In some instances, you will be called for an interview by both faculty and BU. Selection will normally be up\u00a0to 2 students per academic year. While you may be nominated for the\u00a0programme\u00a0in Year 2, you\u00a0will formally apply to BU in Year\u00a03\u00a0and you are\u00a0expected to maintain good grades over 5\u00a0semesters\u00a0to better secure an offer of admission by BU.<br \/>\u200b<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-charcodes=\"216\" data-font=\"Wingdings,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"270\" data-aria-posinset=\"3\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><b>How much will it cost me?<\/b>\u200b\n<p>The NUS-Boston programme\u00a0is on a tuition fee waiver basis. You will continue to pay your LLB\u00a0tuition fees at NUS. No tuition fee is payable to Boston. However, there will be some\u00a0miscellaneous student fee payable to Boston.<br \/>\u200b<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-charcodes=\"216\" data-font=\"Wingdings,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"270\" data-aria-posinset=\"4\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><b>Will there be scholarships or financial aid available?<\/b>\u200b\n<p>NUS NASA Degree Scholarship or Bursary is available for application if you are accepted into the\u00a0programme. The scholarship\/bursary aims to help defray a small fraction of the cost of\u00a0studying abroad. You will be invited to apply when the application opens, usually the year prior to\u00a0your commencement of the\u00a0programme.<br \/>\u200b<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-charcodes=\"216\" data-font=\"Wingdings,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"270\" data-aria-posinset=\"5\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><b>Will I be entitled to take the New York Bar examination?<\/b>\u200b\n<p>It is not necessary for you to undertake this programme\u00a0to be eligible to take the New York Bar\u00a0Exam. It has been the practice for NUS Law LLB graduates to be eligible to sit for the New York\u00a0Bar Exam.
