Under this arrangement, students will complete three years at NUS and\u00a0then go to U of T to read a coursework LLM for one year. The application outcome of the SEP and the LLB-LLM\u00a0programmes\u00a0are normally made\u00a0known sometime in January. At that point, if you are selected for both\u00a0programmes, you must decide\u00a0which\u00a0programme\u00a0you will opt\u00a0for\u00a0and you must withdraw from the other\u00a0programme. You cannot\u00a0hold on to both options.\u200b<\/p>\n<p>Thus, students who accept an exchange place will be precluded from pursuing the LLB-LLM programme. Students who withdraw from the exchange to pursue the LLB-LLM\u00a0programme\u00a0where\u00a0the final selection by U of T is not confirmed, will be allowed to re-apply for exchange in Year 3 to go\u00a0on exchange in Semester 1 of Year 4, should their U of T applications be unsuccessful. Re-application for exchange at this point will be subject to available places and it falling within the\u00a0possible application window period of partner universities.\u200b<\/p>\n\n<\/li>\n<li data-charcodes=\"216\" data-font=\"Wingdings,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"280\" data-aria-posinset=\"2\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><b>What are the selection criteria?<\/b>\u200b\n<p>The selection criteria include your academic grades, character and personal statement. In some instances, you may be called for an interview by both faculty and U of T. While you apply for the\u00a0programme\u00a0in Year 2, you are expected to\u00a0maintain good grades over 5 semesters\u00a0to keep your\u00a0place of admission at U of T.\u200b<\/p>\n\n<\/li>\n<li data-charcodes=\"216\" data-font=\"Wingdings,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"270\" data-aria-posinset=\"3\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><b>How much will it cost me?<\/b>\u200b\n<p>You will pay the same amount in tuition fees to U of T as any other LLM student. NUS LLB tuition fees will not be payable for the semesters away at U of T.\u200b<\/p>\n\n<\/li>\n<li data-charcodes=\"216\" data-font=\"Wingdings,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"270\" data-aria-posinset=\"4\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><b><\/b><b>Will there be scholarships or financial aid available?\n<p><\/p><\/b>Students can apply and compete for scholarships that are available to every other applicant to U of T&#8217;s LLM.\u200b\nIn addition, the NUS NASA Degree Scholarship or Bursary may be available for application if you are accepted into the\u00a0programme. The scholarship\/bursary aims to help defray a small fraction of the\u00a0cost of studying abroad.
