Professor Kelvin Low from NUS Law shared his views about the recent meltdown in the Terra and Luna cryptocurrencies, which saw the former supposedly a stablecoin pegged to the dollar depeg dramatically and the latter fall precipitously in value, and how it has finally brought home just how risky cryptocurrencies are.

Despite warning the general public of their dangers, many governments have been slow to regulate cryptocurrency markets that are rife with scams and market manipulation. The fallout from this dramatic episode continues to play out as other supposed stablecoins depeg and cryptocurrency prices crash across the board.
