In addition to leveraging on our talented faculty, we can also draw faculty from the schools across the university and our network of top legal academics and practitioners from around the world.<\/p>\n<p>NUS Law Academy&#8217;s custom programmes are designed in single or multi-module formats, and may feature workshops, blended or online learning. Most in-person programmes take place at the beautiful NUS Bukit Timah Campus located next to the Singapore Botanic Gardens, Singapore&#8217;s first UNESCO World Heritage Site.<\/p>\n<h3>\n\t\tOur Bespoke Programmes\n\t<\/h3>\n\t<p>The NUS Law Academy partners with the NUS School of Continuing &amp; Lifelong Learning (SCALE)-Global team and other organisations to organise corportate training or bespoke law programmes for learners from around the world. The following are some bespoke programmes that NUS Law Academy, and its predecessor CLE, have had the privilege to create with various partners:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"javascript:void(0);\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-0\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-0\">Graduate Certificate in Criminal Justice Programme<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-0\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-0\"><i>Collapse<\/i><\/a>\n<p>Launched in 2018, the GCCJ Programme is a collaboration between the Home Team School of Criminal Investigation and the National University of Singapore, with the support of the Attorney-General&#8217;s Chambers, to prepare senior Home Team officers for the future challenges of criminal investigations. Taught in partnership with AGC, the aim is to given them a better sense of what prosecutors, defence counsel, and judges look for in a criminal case.<\/p>\n<p>Click <a href=\"https:\/\/law.nus.edu.sg\/nuslawacademy\/certificate-programmes\/graduate-certificates\/gccj\/\">HERE<\/a> for details on the programme.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"javascript:void(0);\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-0\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-0\">Indian Corporate Law Programme<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-0\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-0\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The predecessor Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programme of NUS Law organised attachment programmes for officers of the Indian Corporate Law Services (ICLS) in 2019 and 2020. Lasting nine days, the programme is part of the training for ICLS officers, with the objective of enabling them to obtain a better understanding of company law, practice and regulation in a foreign jurisdiction such as Singapore. It included sessions by NUS faculty members as well as practitioners, and visits to courts and certain regulatory bodies.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"javascript:void(0);\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-0\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-0\">Thai Office of the Council of State Programme<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-0\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-0\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Bespoke workshops were organised in 2018 and 2019 for government officials from Thailand by NUS Law Academy&#8217;s predecessor, the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) division of the NUS Law Faculty. Officers from the Thai Office of the Council of State attended 2-day themed workshops, conducted by Faculty members and subject matter experts, focusing on environmental law (2018) and cross border insolvency and finance laws (2019). The 2018 workshop covered biological diversity laws and\u00a0 included a short guided tour of the Ethnobotany gardens at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which is located adjacent to the NUS Law Faculty.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"javascript:void(0);\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-0\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-0\">NUS SCALE Youth Programme<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-0\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-0\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Organised by the SCALE-Global team, the range of NUS Youth Programmes are more than just educational programmes for youths from Singapore and around the world. NUS Youth Programmes are one&#8217;s window to the world. They are specially curated for youths to find out about impact &#8211; the impact they want to make for their future &#8211; and to make better decisions. NUS Youth Programmes also provide participants the opportunity to get acquainted with the NUS experience &#8211; NUS&#8217; culture of innovation, academic excellence and global responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>Click <a href=\"https:\/\/scale.nus.edu.sg\/home\/youth\">HERE<\/a> for more information on the NUS SCALE Youth Programme.<\/p>\n<p>The NUS Law Academy collaborates with SCALE-Global to offer the following courses every summer and winter :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/scale.nus.edu.sg\/home\/youth\/youth-programme-financial-analysis-and-accounting\">Financial Analysis &amp; Accounting<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/scale.nus.edu.sg\/home\/youth\/youth-programme-business-law-common-law-perspectives\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Business Law: Common Law Perspectives<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Law &amp; Regulation of AI<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"javascript:void(0);\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-0\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-0\">International Law Study Programme<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-0\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-0\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The NUS Faculty of Law, in collaboration with the NUS School of Continuing and Lifelong Education (SCALE), had the privilege of contributing to the professional development of 2 batches of graduate students from China.<\/p>\n<p>In 2024 &amp; 2025, the groups arrived at the charming NUS Bukit Timah Campus, under the auspices of the Embassy of the People&#8217;s Republic of China in Singapore, to participate in an intensive study program focused on international law. These students spent the past three months to a semester delving deep into subjects such as international dispute settlement, ASEAN law and policy, and the law of the sea. These topics, while academically rigorous, are crucial in today&#8217;s interconnected world.
