Welcome to NUS Law’s Private Law Research Group’s virtual home.

The PLRG is a group of scholars here at NUS pursuing scholarship in private law. Our mission is to enhance the culture of discussion and scholarship in any area of private law. We meet regularly  and also engage with the regional and international private law research community.

Founded only about a year ago, the PLRG is very much a work in progress, and we intend to increase our range of endeavours as we develop. We invite private law scholars from around the world to get in touch, especially if they are interested in presenting work to us. If you are interested in presenting work in progress by Zoom, please email any of our members, in particular if there is a particular one of us you would to chair the seminar. Or just get in touch with me: lawjep@nus.edu.sg . We have two formats for Zoom presentations: a seminar presentation to members of the PLRG, with up to four ‘outside’ attendees of your choice, or a public session which we will advertise and which anyone can sign up to attend on a first come first served basis. Please also let one of us know if you are visiting Singapore or the region and can fit in a day where you can present to us—we can help with any expenses this might involve.
