YAP Jia Qing
Jia Qing graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Singapore with a Bachelor of Laws, winning the Elizabeth Ng Siew Kuan Prize in International Patent Law, Policy and Practice. His full-length article co-authored with Professor Ernest Lim, A Legal Framework for Artificial Intelligence Fairness Reporting, has been accepted for publication by the peer-reviewed Cambridge Law Journal.

At TRAIL, Jia Qing researches on extending the concept of information fiduciaries to govern AI use by companies on personal data, under a research grant from Meta (previously Facebook), IBM and the University of Notre Dame. He also conducts research on regulating decentralized finance. Jia Qing previously taught data science at General Assembly and the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute.
