Book Launch - Economic Torts in Singapore
On 8 June 2026, Professor David Tan, Co-Director of TRAIL, together with his co-author Joshua Phang, launched their new book Economic Torts in Singapore at the Salon of the National Museum of Singapore.
European Book Launch of Fashion and Intellectual Property
On 21 May 2026, the Institute for Information Law (IViR) at Amsterdam Law School hosted the European launch of Fashion and Intellectual Property, an edited book published by Cambridge University Press, at the Trademark Law Institute Conference.
Min-Liang Tan fronts inaugural TechTalk@TRAIL
On 16 April 2026, TRAIL launched TechTalk@TRAIL, a talkshow billed as “Where tech leaders meet leading lawyers”. NUS Law and TRAIL are excited to welcome back its illustrious alumnus Min-Liang Tan (LLB 2002), Co-Founder and CEO of Razer Inc, for a candid conversation with Professor Tan Cheng Han, President of the Law Society of Singapore, to discuss the issues relating to AI, gaming and the law.
TRAIL Year In Review 2025
The annual report for TRAIL, titled "YEAR IN REVIEW 2025", contains a write-up of the key conferences that TRAIL had organised in 2025 with its partner institutions, as well as highlights of publications by its academic fellows. In 2025, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization Daren Tang was the keynote speaker at the "Intellectual Property in the 21st Century: Challenges in the Next Decade" conference in Singapore, which was presented by Google, ByteDance and Baker McKenzie, in partnership with law research centres at Columbia, Oxford and Tsinghua.
