Intellectual Property In The Digital Economy

On 10 June 2022, Professor David Tan participated in the 2nd International Cyberspace Governance Forum that was jointly organised by the Beihang University School of Law, Beijing Normal University’s School of Journalism, and Communication Research Institute of Cyberspace Governance at Beihang University.

Titled “The Rules of Digital Economy”, the online forum with simultaneous interpretation in Mandarin Chinese and English, featured academic scholars, practitioners and policymakers from all around the world.

In the panel session on IP in the Digital Economy, Professor David Tan presented his views on navigating trademarks and NFTs in the metaverse, and was joined by Assistant Professor He Tianxiang (City University of Hong Kong School of Law) and Mr Zhang Qinkun (Secretary-General, Tencent Research Institute), with Professor Zhou Xuefeng (Vice Dean, Beihang University School of Law) as moderator.
