Liza obtained an LLM degree from Singapore Management University. She carried out legal research work for different projects, including research work for Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) where she co-authored one of the annual publications with the chapter on intellectual property regulations in different APEC economies and Facebook (Meta) where she conducted research on personal data protection laws. Her paper on the use of chatbots in the legal services sector was published by the Law Society of Singapore. Liza is one of the awardees of the research grant awarded by the Notre Dame-IBM Tech Ethics Lab where her research focuses on the use of personal data in the field of artificial intelligence
