Ettore Maria Lombardi is the Professor of Private Law and International Business Law at the University of Florence School of Law and a visiting Professor at some of the most prestigious American, British and German universities. He is also a counsel at the Hage-Chahine Law Firm and a qualified attorney at law registered with the Italian Bar Association.
As a member of the Arbitro Bancario Finanziario and the President of the supervisory board at Nuovo Pignone Holding S.P.A., he has extensive experience in corporate capital structures, banking and finance. He routinely helps clients with financial leverage, bond issuance, corporate governance and complex mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining the firm, he was a counsel at DLA Piper (Rome & Milan) where he worked on corporate matters and international arbitration.
Ettore Maria Lombardi holds a PHD in Private Law from the University of Florence School of Law, a LL.M. from Harvard Law School, a J.C.L. from the Pontifical University of Lateran and a LLB from the University of Florence School of Law. He also holds an advanced certificate in Artificial Intelligence from the Oxford Saïd Business School and an advanced certificate in Business Sustainability Management from the University of Cambridge.
He is a member of several prominent international legal associations and the Event Officer of the Harvard Law School Association of Europe. He is the Director of the Executive Course on Alternative Investment, which is co-organized by the University of Florence School of Law and Queen Mary University of London and the Executive Course on Art & Law, which is co-organized by the University of Florence School of Law, the Université de Genève and the Gallerie degli Uffizi.
He has over fifty publications in the fields of Civil Law, Contract law, Commercial Law, Banking, Finance, Digital Law and has authored award-winning treatises on Private Law.
He is fluent in English, French and Italian.
