TRAIL is seeking an exceptional Post-Doctoral Fellow to contribute to cutting-edge research on the legal, ethical, policy, and regulatory issues surrounding AI, robotics, and emerging technologies. The Fellow will collaborate on TRAIL projects, pursue an independent research agenda, and help organise academic events and workshops. The role offers a one-year full-time appointment, with possible renewal and a competitive remuneration package.<\/p>\n

Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in law and show strong potential for research excellence.<\/p>\n

In 2025, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization Daren Tang was the keynote speaker at the “Intellectual Property in the 21st Century: Challenges in the Next Decade” conference in Singapore, which was presented by Google, ByteDance and Baker McKenzie, in partnership with law research centres at Columbia, Oxford and Tsinghua.
