Colin read law at the National University of Singapore and graduated with an LLB (Hons) degree in 2005. He practiced as a commercial litigator in Allen & Gledhill where he acted in complex litigation and arbitration matters for Fortune Global 500 companies and financial institutions, including banks.

Colin left private practice in March 2019, to join the Civil & Legislative Policy Division at the Ministry of Law where he focuses on driving policy and legal reforms in a wide variety of areas including civil justice, family and community law reforms.
