Chen Li is an Associate Professor at Fudan University Law School and an affiliated faculty of Fudan University School of Management. He is also a Visiting Professor at Washington University School of Law.

He specializes in international law, business law, legal history, and equity and trusts.  He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals, including Asian Journal of International Law, Asian Journal of WTO & International Health Law and Policy, Chinese Journal of International Law, Computer Law & Security Review, Hong Kong Law Journal, Human Rights Quarterly, International Data Privacy Law, Journal of International Dispute Settlement, Journal of Legal Education, Legal History Review, Leiden Journal of International Law.
