Jennie is a PhD student of the Doctoral Program in International and European Law at Palacky University Olomouc, Czech Republic. Her research focuses on European migration law and human rights protection, particularly, the human right to family life in ECtHR’s immigration case law. Jennie holds a Master of Laws from Stockholm University, Sweden, and a second Master of Laws from the Free University of Berlin, Germany, where she wrote her master thesis on the Common European Asylum System. Since the beginning of Jennie’s legal career she has been working in different areas of the asylum and migration process with a focus on vulnerable groups, especially children. She has gained working experience basically covering the whole asylum process, from representing asylum seekers in court to policy and legislation work concerning children in the asylum process for the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
