Christopher 

HARE

Christopher Hare is an Associate Professor of Law and a Fellow of Somerville College. Mr Hare was an undergraduate at Trinity College, Cambridge and was in the first cohort of students to spend their third year at the University of Poiters, France. He then spent a year at Harvard Law School (LLM) and read for the BCL at Brasenose College.

Mr Hare initially practised as a barrister at 3 Verulam Buildings, Gray’s Inn before moving to a fellowship and college lectureship at Jesus College, Cambridge. He has spent the last seven years in New Zealand, where he was a Senior Lecturer in the Law Faculty at the University of Auckland. Mr Hare’s teaching and research interests lie broadly in the law of obligations and the corporate and commercial law fields, with particular focus on domestic and international banking law, corporate finance, and shareholder remedies.
