CBFL Visiting Scholar, Dr Lisa-Marie Ross celebrates duo publications

CBFL Visiting Scholar, Dr Lisa-Marie Ross her recently published her article, co-written with Kathrin Asschenfeldt, “The Role of International Commercial Arbitration in Mastering Climate Change Disputes: Initiatives, Advantages, and Challenges“ Journal of International Arbitration Vol 41 Issue 3 (2024).
The article highlights how international commercial arbitration can resolve existing limitations in the adjudication of climate change-related disputes, and discuss specific challenges such as the consent of the parties, confidentiality of arbitral proceedings, and public interest restrictions.

She has also published a monograph in German, “Nachhaltigkeitsregulierung im Finanzbereich [Sustainability regulation in the financial sector]” (Nomos Publishing Group 2024).  The book examines the extended disclosure requirements and the various legal issues that arises in this new era of cross-sectoral, specific European sustainability regulation which has significantly expanded the catalogue of obligations in the financial services sector. It does a comparative legal analysis of the relevant obligations in the Asia-Pacific financial centre of Singapore is undertaken. This leads to interesting perspectives for both legal systems.
