Synopsis

Presented by the Global Chairman of the International Institute of Legal Project Management

Many law firms and in-house legal teams around the world are now implementing Legal Project Management (LPM) as the primary way to plan and execute matters in law firms, juridical settings and companies.

LPM is a key method to enable alternate fee arrangements, embrace legal technology and improve the overall profitability in legal practice.

In partnership with the International Institute of Legal Project Management(IILPM), this practical workshop will provide insights into how LPM is used and applied, giving you a hands-on experience in dealing with a legal matter.

This will prepare you to be more industry ready in better understanding how law is being practiced, and equip you with skills which will make you a stronger candidate for training contract applications.

What you will learn in this 3.5-hour workshop:

  1. Why LPM is a global trend and the importance it brings to new legal practitioners;
  2. The key elements of the 4-phase matter life cycle and LPM Framework;
  3. How to clarify the matter scope;
  4. How to schedule a matter and better use practice software;
  5. How a matter is allocated resources and costed; and
  6. How a matter is performance tracked and issues are managed.

Join the Global Chairman of IILPM to learn directly about what lawyers are being taught globally that can give you practical insights into the legal profession.

You will be issued an electronic Attendance Certificate issued jointly by NUS Law and IILPM.
