Winona is a Teaching Assistant for the Evidence Law and Introduction to Legal Theory modules at NUS. She obtained her L.L.B from the University of Leeds in 2018, graduating with First Class Honours. She was awarded the Hughes Prize issued by the University of Leeds for her dissertation titled “Recognising the Deadlock in the Age of Criminal Responsibility Debate in England and Wales”.

Introduction to Legal Theory (C)

Winona is a Teaching Assistant for the Evidence Law and Introduction to Legal Theory modules at NUS. She obtained her L.L.B from the University of Leeds in 2018, graduating with First Class Honours. She was awarded the Hughes Prize issued by the University of Leeds for her dissertation titled “Recognising the Deadlock in the Age of Criminal Responsibility Debate in England and Wales”.

Upon graduating, she trained at Wong Partnership LLP and worked on high-profile white collar criminal files, along with commercial and matrimonial matters. Prior to joining the faculty, Winona was an Assistant Researcher at the Centre for Asian Legal Studies (CALS). Her research primarily focused on legislation targeting the issue of Female Genital Cutting in New South Wales, Australia, and its legal and political implications on women from affected communities.

Winona has a keen interest in Neurolaw, the study of Law and Society, Criminal Law, Medical Law and Ethics, and Feminist Legal Theory.
