Eunseol 

LEE

Dr. Eunseol Lee is a Laureate Fellow at the Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore. Her research lies at the intersection of law and philosophy, focusing on legal epistemology and evidence law. Her work examines evidence, epistemic justification, and legal argumentation in legal fact-finding. She draws on concepts from epistemology, including truth, justification, belief, and assertion, to better understand legal decision-making.

Her current work examines peer disagreement in adjudication. She is interested in how legal institutions should respond when judges, working from the same evidentiary materials, reach different conclusions. This project explores questions of legal and epistemic justification under conditions of persistent disagreement, with attention to public reason-giving and dissenting opinions.

Before joining NUS, Dr. Lee spent four years as a Research Fellow at the Belgian National Fund for Scientific Research (F.R.S.-FNRS) and was a Visiting Researcher at Edinburgh Law School. She is also a special correspondent for the Constitutional Research Institute of the Constitutional Court of Korea where she writes analyses of decisions by the French Constitutional Council.

Dr. Lee holds a Ph.D. in Law from Université Toulouse Capitole in France and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Belgium. She also holds an M.A. in Philosophy of Science, Epistemology, and Philosophy of Mind, as well as a B.A. in Philosophy, from Sorbonne Université in France.
