Sinja Graf joined NUS in 2015 as Assistant Professor of Global Studies in the Political Science Department. Before coming to Singapore, Sinja completed her MA studies at the Free University of Berlin and later received her PhD from Cornell University. Drawing from the fields of international law, international relations and political theory, Sinja’s research agenda focuses on questions about the legitimacy of political violence. Her current book project interrogates the notion of universal crime, an idea animating the contemporary norm of crimes against humanity, as it circulated in historical debates about global justice and international relations.
