Ho Hock Lai’s current research interests lie principally at the intersection of evidence and the criminal process. His recent theoretical works include ‘Evidence and Truth’ in Christian Dahlman, Alex Stein and Giovanni Tuzet (eds), Philosophical Foundations of Evidence Law (forthcoming, Oxford: OUP), ‘Confessions in the Criminal Process’ in the Modern Law Review (https://doi.org/10.1111/1468-2230.12571) and ‘Silence as Evidence’ to be published in Spanish as ‘El silencio como prueba’, Jordi Ferrer y Carmen Vázquez (eds), El razonamiento probatorio en el proceso judicial – Un punto de encuentro entre diferentes tradiciones (forthcoming, Madrid: Marcial Pons) (with an English translation to be published by CUP in due course).
