Description

Co-convened by Associate Professor Jaclyn Neo (NUS Law) and Associate Professor Bryan Tiojanco (UTokyo), this symposium seeks to build upon as well as to interrogate, and perhaps even challenge, Ackerman’s framework of ideal types for global constitutional studies. By focusing on the constitutional developments in the Asia-Pacific, the symposium sought to draw into sharper focus some of the key insights and proposals in Ackerman’s work, while also enriching and even pluralizing the global constitutionalist frameworks in Ackerman’s work.

This symposium is co-organised by the University of Tokyo and CALS NUS.
