Into its thirteenth edition, IP Week @ SG 2024 is the world's premier Intellectual Property (IP) event which brings together IP thought leaders, legal experts and innovative enterprises. This year, IPOS is co-organising “The Value of Intangible Assets” panels on Day 2 of IP Week @ SG (28 August 2024), with the Institute of Valuers and Appraisers, Singapore (IVAS) and the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC).

Casino Compliance Programs
On 15 May 2024, Adjunct Professor Jennifer Roberts of the William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada, Las Vegas presented a seminar entitled ‘Casino Compliance Programs’. Dean Leah Chan Grinvald and students of the William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada, Las Vegas were also in attendance. This seminar was moderated by Senior Lecturer Justin Jerzy Tan.

Adjunct Professor Jennifer Roberts of the William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada, Las Vegas presented a seminar entitled ‘Case Studies in AML, Fraud & Crimes Against Casinos’ on 14 May 2024. This seminar, which was moderated by Senior Lecturer Justin Jerzy Tan, was also attended by Dean Leah Chan Grinvald and students from the William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Private Roundtable: Global Regulatory Enforcement Approaches to Tackle Greenwashing: “Lessons to and from Asia”
The Commonwealth Climate & Law Initiative (CCLI) and the EW Barker Centre for Law and Business (EWBCLB), co-organised this private roundtable to discuss regulatory enforcement of greenwashing stemming from unsubstantiated claims about a company’s asserted transition plans, or a breach of sustainable disclosure standards, and whether either could, in turn, amount to a breach of directors’ duties in different jurisdictions.
