Professor Chen-Wishart was born in Taiwan and moved with her family to New Zealand where she was educated. Previously she was a tutor in the History Department and a Senior Lecturer in Law at Otago University and also Rhodes Research Fellow at St Hilda’s College, Oxford. She holds or has held Visiting Professorships at Hong Kong University, at Auckland, Otago and Canterbury Universities in New Zealand, and at Gottingen University, Germany. She has also been an Adjunct Professor of Ohio and Georgia Universities.

Advanced Contract Law

Professor Chen-Wishart was born in Taiwan and moved with her family to New Zealand where she was educated. Previously she was a tutor in the History Department and a Senior Lecturer in Law at Otago University and also Rhodes Research Fellow at St Hilda’s College, Oxford. She holds or has held Visiting Professorships at Hong Kong University, at Auckland, Otago and Canterbury Universities in New Zealand, and at Gottingen University, Germany. She has also been an Adjunct Professor of Ohio and Georgia Universities. She delivered the 2009 Hochelaaga lectures at Hong Kong University and was named author of the best article of 2013 in the International and Comparative Law Quarterly. Over her career, she has taught a wide range of private and public law subjects. She is currently leading a six book series on the Contract Laws of Asia published with the Oxford University Press.
