FULL BIOGRAPHY

Dr Wu is a Post-Doctoral fellow at the EW Barker Centre for Law & Business. She graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Master of Laws degree in Comparative Law from China University of Political Science and Law. She also holds a Master of Laws degree from Indiana University Bloomington. After receiving both of her master’s degrees, her passion for academic research motivated her to continue to pursue a Ph.D at Renmin University of China. On June 2022, she received her Ph.D with an award of “Outstanding Graduate of Beijing”. Dr Wu’s research mainly focuses on insolvency and bankruptcy law, her doctoral dissertation is on the treatment of executory contracts in insolvency proceedings. During her Ph.D program, she published several articles on the topic of insolvency and tax law in the top journals of China. She also translated Elements of Bankruptcy, Prof. Douglas G. Baird’ s famous work, into Chinese along with her Ph.D supervisor Prof. Xu Yangguang. Meanwhile, she has participated in several research projects regarding the amendment of Enterprise Bankruptcy Law of China.
