About Us

NUS Law Academy (formerly Continuing Legal Education) aims to provide skills-based, industry-relevant courses necessary for upskilling or reskilling, to enable professionals to remain competitive in the job market and to make a greater impact on the future economy.

In line with Singapore’s SkillsFuture initiatives, NUS as a university is moving towards a lifelong learning paradigm that delivers a flexible graduate-level coursework programme that permits more working adults to enrol in individual graduate courses and “stack” them towards graduate certificates (GCs), graduate diplomas (GDs) and ultimately a Masters coursework degree. The carefully curated programmes will enable professionals to better hone their skills and update their legal knowledge within a more flexible timeframe.

Building on the work of its predecessor, NUS Law Academy aims to continue providing an avenue for the Faculty to engage the legal community in professional dialogue, particularly on recent developments. It also hopes to provide a forum for the dissemination of views and sharing of expertise relating to particular areas of law through our range of events and intensive courses.

The NUS Law Academy also works closely with government agencies such as SkillsFuture Singapore, Attorney-General’s Chambers, Home Team Academy and Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, to deliver high quality industry-relevant programmes. Our meticulously curated programmes also meet the requirements of the mandatory Continuing Professional Development (CPD) scheme administered by the Singapore Institute of Legal Education (SILE).
