Elena Pribytkova received a J.S.D. degree from Columbia Law School and a Ph.D. degree from the Russian Academy of Sciences. Her research focuses on the role of human rights in reducing poverty and inequality as well as in promoting social and global justice, and sustainable development. Elena held various appointments at leading universities and research institutes, including University of Oxford, European University Institute, Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law, Swiss Institute of Comparative Law, Columbia Law School, and New York University School of Law. She has more than fifty publications in English, German, French, and Russian.

Elena Pribytkova received a Doctor of the Science of Law (J.S.D.) degree from Columbia Law School and a Candidate of Legal Sciences (Ph.D.) degree from the Institute of State and Law of the Russian Academy of Sciences. She is a Habilitation candidate at the Faculty of Law of the University of Basel. She has worked extensively on individual and collective multidisciplinary research projects on theories of justice, human dignity, law and morality, governance, and human rights, in particular, socio-economic rights and their role in reducing poverty and inequality as well as in promoting social and global justice, and sustainable development. Elena held various research and teaching appointments at leading universities and research institutes all over the world, including University of Oxford, European University Institute, Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law, Heidelberg University, Swiss Institute of Comparative Law, University of Basel, Radboud University Nijmegen, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the Russian Academy of Sciences, Columbia Law School, and New York University School of Law. She has more than fifty publications in English, German, French, and Russian.
