Mr Kuan is dually qualified as both a chartered accountant and a lawyer.  He has more than 25 years of experience in accounting, auditing as well as business and corporate advisory. He had worked for various international accounting firms in Singapore and Malaysia for about a decade before he started his own business consulting firms.  In recent years, he has also been advising on tax and legal issues arising from corporate restructuring, mergers & acquisitions and disputes.

Apart from his professional experience, Mr Kuan is an experienced independent director and currently serves as an independent director of three SGX-ST listed companies.

Mr Kuan is dually qualified as both a chartered accountant and a lawyer.  He has more than 25 years of experience in accounting, auditing as well as business and corporate advisory. Mr. Kuan had worked with various Big-Four international accounting firms in Singapore and Malaysia for about a decade since 1994 before he started his own business and financial consulting firms in 2004.  In recent years, he has also been advising on tax and legal issues arising from corporate restructuring, mergers & acquisitions and disputes.

Apart from his professional experience, Mr Kuan is an experienced independent director.  He currently serves as an independent director and chairman of the audit committee for two companies listed on Catalist of the SGX-ST, and as an independent director of a company listed on the Main Board of SGX-ST.

Mr Kuan holds a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore, a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree from the University of London and a Master of Laws (Corporate and Financial Services Law) degree from the National University of Singapore. He is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, United Kingdom, and a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and the Singapore Institute of Directors. He was also admitted to the Singapore Bar.
