Jonathan obtained his LLB (First Class Honours) from NUS in 2015 and his LLM (First Class Honours) from the University of Cambridge in 2021. Since graduating from NUS, he has served in various appointments in the Singapore Legal Service and the Singapore Judicial Service. He is currently a District Judge at the State Courts.

Legal Analysis, Research & Communication

Jonathan obtained his LLB (First Class Honours) from NUS in 2015. Upon graduating from NUS, he joined the (then) Criminal Justice Division of the Attorney-General’s Chambers as a Deputy Public Prosecutor/State Counsel. Thereafter, he was posted to the Supreme Court where he served as a Justices’ Law Clerk (2016-2017) and Assistant Registrar (2018-2020).

From 2020 to 2021, he read for the LLM at the University of Cambridge on a Singapore Legal Service scholarship, graduating with First Class Honours at the top of his LLM cohort. On his return to Singapore, he joined the State Courts, where he currently serves as a District Judge.
