Gabriel joined the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) in 2016. He serves as Senior Legal Counsel and hears cases as hearing officer (Principal Assistant Registrar) for disputes under IPOS’ jurisdiction.

Prior to public service, Gabriel practised law in Drew & Napier LLC after being called to the Bar in 2011. He specialised in civil and IP litigation as well as IP corporate-commercial work. He had the privilege of being involved in a number of high-profile intellectual property cases.

Gabriel is part of the team of facilitators for the IP Module offered by the Singapore Institute of Legal Education for trainee lawyers. He has spoken at various events and seminars, including at NUS Law, the Singapore Judicial College, and the IP Academy of Singapore (the education and training arm of IPOS International).
