Topics in Punishment and Sentencing
Peter Chau (DPhil, Oxford) is an Associate Professor of Law at the University of Hong Kong. He works on the philosophy of criminal law and private law. He has written on a variety of topics, including the sentencing of socially deprived offenders, the exclusion of improperly obtained evidence in criminal trials, and the justification for criminal punishment, tort reparation, and restitutionary liability. His works have appeared in journals such as The Oxford Journal of Legal Studies, Law and Philosophy, The Canadian Journal of Law and Jurisprudence, Criminal Law and Philosophy, and Ratio Juris.
