Sebastian is a PhD candidate in private international law at the University of Cambridge. His research investigates the choice of law issues that arise for non-contractual claims occurring in areas beyond territorial sovereignty and the public-private international law relationship in this context.

Sebastian graduated with an integrated master’s degree in law from the University of Bergen in 2019, combined with an LL.M. degree in International Commercial Law from the University of Glasgow in his final year. Subsequently, he also obtained a second LL.M. degree in Maritime Law from NUS in 2020. He is also employed at a commercial law firm in Norway, specialising in international commercial litigation.
