Mr Tai has Masters Degrees in criminology and law.  He was formerly a Justices’ Law Clerk, an Assistant Registrar of the Supreme Court, and Chief Prosecutor in the Attorney-General’s Chambers.  He has also held a number of appointments in the Singapore Public Service, including Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Director of the Internal Security Department.
