Dr Colin Tan is both a qualified lawyer as well as a qualified doctor, and he also holds a PhD in law from the National University of Singapore. He served as a District Judge in the Subordinate Courts and, later, the Family Justice Courts from 2010 to 2023. During his tenure in the Judiciary, he has held concurrent appointments such as Judge Advisor for Information Technology, Senior Director of the Singapore Judicial College’s Centre for Leadership and Judgecraft and Director (Family) of the Singapore Judicial College’s Centre for Specialist Knowledge and Skills.
