Litigating Climate Change in the Global South

21 August 2024

The book Litigating Climate Change in the Global South sheds light on emerging and accelerating climate litigation in Global South developing countries. It examines which Global South countries are seeing climate cases, what is driving these trends, the coalitions of actors involved, and the early impacts the litigation is delivering towards goals of climate mitigation and adaptation. The book helps provide a holistic picture of the role climate litigation plays in addressing the global problem of climate change.

The book relies on an analysis of a set of cases across Global South jurisdictions. A summary of those cases is available via the hyperlink on the right.
