To mark the close of Academic Year 2024, our doctoral students gathered for a celebratory dinner with our Vice Dean (Research), Prof Lynette Chua, at the Blue Label Pizza & Wine located at the historic Ann Siang Hill area. Dinner was preceded by the last Doctoral Workshop for AY2024.

Over the course of the year, 13 doctoral workshops were held—each one spotlighting a student from Year 1 to Year 4 who presented their research-in-progress. These sessions provided a valuable platform for intellectual exchange, where thoughtful questions and feedback from fellow PhD colleagues, commentators and invited guests helped each presenter refine their ideas and strengthen their writing. The dinner was a joyful conclusion to a year of academic growth, collegial support, and shared purpose—proof that good research and good pizza are both better when enjoyed together.
