Prof Lynette Chua, Vice Dean (Research), took our Doctoral students to dinner at Legendary Classics at Rochester Park to mark the start of AY2026 and to extend a heartfelt welcome to our new Year 1 Doctoral students, Anik Bhaduri, Huang Xinying and Kaveinthran A/L Pulanthran.

The evening meal followed the first Doctoral Workshop of the academic year. This workshop, which runs throughout the year, serves as an important forum for NUS Law PhD students to sharpen their research proposals, improve their research abilities, and put their hypotheses to the test. During the workshop, students present their current work and receive helpful input from both fellow participants and NUS researchers. Such collaborative exchange is key to moving our PhD students' academic projects forward and laying the groundwork for a productive year to come.
