Associate Professor Daniel Seng presented his views on the regulation of digital platforms and online intermediaries in a talk organized by the Intellectual Property of Singapore and the US Patent and Trademark Office (US PTO). Mr Ian C Ballon, Executive Director of the Centre for the Center for the Digital Economy, Stanford University Law School and Co-Chair, Global Intellectual Property and Technology Practice Group, Greenberg Traurig LLP, Ms Kathleen W. Bradish, Counsel with Cleary Gottlieb and co-Author of the American Bar Association Report on Common Issues Relating to the Digital Economy and Competition (2020) and Justice Jacqueline H. Nguyen, Circuit Judge with the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit were the other panelists. The talk was chaired by Mr Peter Fowler, Senior Counsel for Enforcement in the Office of the Administrator for Policy and International Affairs, US PTO., and was attended by policy makers and regulators from ASEAN member states.
