Asian Pacific Copyright Association – Of Supermodels, Pop Princesses and Copyright Trolls

Professor David Tan anchored an online seminar organised by the Asian Pacific Copyright Association (APCA) on 22 February 2022. Titled “Of Supermodels, Pop Princesses and Copyright Trolls: Issues of Fair Use and Personality Rights”, the seminar also featured Professor Cui Guobin (Tsinghua) and Dr Vicki Huang (Deakin), and was moderated by Professor Natalie Stoianoff (UTS).

The seminar covered issues of copyright fair use/fair dealing and personality rights (including the right of publicity and privacy) in relation to postings on social media in a number of jurisdictions that included the United States, the People’s Republic of China and Australia.
