EW Barker Centre for Law & Business (EWBCLB) hosts the Conference on Dispute Settlement in the Belt and Road Initiative

EWBCLB was honoured to have Justice Steven Chong ’82 (Judge of Appeal, Supreme Court of Singapore) deliver the Keynote Speech on “Dispute Settlement in the Belt and Road Initiative: Lessons from the Singapore Experience.

The main goal of the 2-day closed-door conference was to produce two special issues in international referred journals comprising papers discussing the most cutting-edge issues in dispute settlement in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) as many disputes were generated in the BRI’s past five years.

The conference was attended by 33 participants consisting members of the judiciary, academia and legal community from Singapore, China, Hong Kong SAR of China, Australia, North America and Europe.
