NUS Law Wins Attorney-General’s Cup for 3rd Year Running

Congratulations to Joel Sherard ’20 and Low Ee Ning ’19 on winning the Attorney-General’s Cup for NUS Law! The duo faced Theodore Toh and Choo Wen Yee from SMU in the finals, emerging champions and taking home the cup for the third consecutive year. This also marks NUS Law’s fifth win in seven years.

The moot featured four internal knock out rounds held every two weeks at the State Courts before a panel of judges including Attorney-General’s Chambers prosecutors and leading criminal law practitioners.

The competition is organised by the Attorney-General’s Chambers and aims to stimulate an interest among law students in criminal law. Since its inception in 2011, Professor Walter Woon has drafted the moot problem and this year’s problem focused on the abetment of computer hacking, with aspects of extra-territorality and recent amendments to the Computer Misuse Act.
