Description
Thinking about legal internships? Don’t know if you should explore disputes and transactional work further? Why not do a bit of both? Have you considered exploring competition law as a practice area?
The EW Barker Centre for Law & Business is hosting a panel discussion with CCCS on competition law practice in Singapore to raise awareness amongst NUS law students about the career opportunities they can pursue in the field of competition law. Join us for an introduction to the world of cartels, monopolistic abuses and merger regulation – to see if this unique area of legal practice is something you should try out before finalising your post-law-school professional training plans.
To illustrate the interesting range of legal issues associated with this area of law, competition law experts from both the public and private sector will engage in a panel discussion on the following issues:
- How may a digital platform engage in anti-competitive behaviour that amounts to an abuse of dominance?
- When does tying the supply of one digital service to another digital service lead to anti-competitive effects?
- Can the acquisition of a digital service provider in one market by another digital service provider in another market be anti-competitive?
