As follow-up to our virtual workshop in 2021, these in-person events aim to deepen out understanding of the competition law landscape in the ASEAN region. The Workshop will provide a selected group of invited competition law experts from the ASEAN region to analyse and discuss the findings of the 2022 edition of the ACCESS project. The Conference will explore the prospects of, and obstacles towards greater harmonisation and convergence between the national competition law frameworks of the ASEAN Member States.

Inputs for both events will be consolidated and incorporated into the second edition of the ACCESS Report. The results of the study will be analysed to determine which specific areas of substantive or procedural competition law can or should be reformed to facilitate the goals of the ASEAN Economic Community as set out in the AEC Blueprint and the ASEAN Competition Action Plan 2025.
