The Scheme of Arrangement as a Debt Restructuring Tool

This is a joint project with the National University of Singapore (NUS) EW Barker Centre for Law & Business (EWBCLB) and Commercial Law Centre (Harris Manchester College, Oxford)

Jointly organised by Commercial Law Centre (HMC, Oxford) and Centre for Law and Business (NUS)

Date: Thursday 12 January 0th week of Hilary Term 2017, with conference dinner the previous evening (Wednesday 11 January)

Venue: Harris Manchester College, Warrington Room

Purpose: (i) to encourage the production of new scholarly research on the scheme of arrangement as a debt restructuring tool (in the UK and in other common law jurisdictions), and on the development and efficacy of scheme-inspired procedures in select other jurisdictions, (ii) to refine the results of this research by facilitating dialogue between senior restructuring / insolvency practitioners, judges, and academics in a conference setting.
