Create a Commemorative Artwork for NUS Law Bukit Timah Campus

Ahead of the move back to Kent Ridge, NUS Law would like to celebrate and reflect on our time at the historic Bukit Timah campus (BTC) with a commemorative artwork. We are inviting NUS Law students, alumni, staff and friends to submit their proposals to conceptualise and create an original piece of art. This piece of art should capture the spirit, community and memories of the campus and serve as a tribute for current and future generations of the NUS Law community.

Eligibility

  • Open to all NUS Law students, alumni, staff and friends.
  • Both individual and group submissions are welcome.

Proposal Requirements

Proposals should include:

  • Concept Statement: A description (up to 300 words) outlining the inspiration and intended message behind the artwork.
  • Visuals: Sketches or mock-ups to illustrate your concept.
  • Materials & Dimensions: Details on proposed medium(s), materials, and approximate size.
  • Installation Details: Any special installation or display requirements.
  • Artist(s) Biography: A brief biography of the artist(s), highlighting relevant experience or previous works.
  • Budget Estimate: (If applicable) An estimated budget covering materials, production, and installation.

Evaluation Criteria

Proposals will be evaluated on:

  • Relevance to the theme and significance of BTC in the NUS Law community.
  • Artistic originality and creativity.
  • Feasibility, durability and suitability.
  • Clarity and completeness of the proposal.

Submission Guidelines

  • Combine all proposal components into a single ZIP file.
  • Email your proposal to Office of the Dean, Faculty of Law at lawsec@nus.edu.sg with the subject line: “Proposal for Commemorative Artwork for NUS Law at Bukit Timah Campus”.
  • Submission deadline: 29 August 2025
  • Only shortlisted proposals will be notified.
