Indian Corporate Law Service Attachment Programme at NUS Law

NUS Law, in collaboration with the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, hosted 31 officers from the Indian Corporate Law Service on a 9-day attachment programme from 13 to 23 January 2020. The Course Convenor was Associate Professor Umakanth Varottil, Director, Graduate Coursework Studies and NUS Law Academy. This is a second run of the programme.

A wide range of topics relating to Singapore law, regulation and practice were covered. The officers visited SGX for a sharing on the role of SGX as a market regulator; the Singapore International Arbitration Centre and NUS Business School.

To provide greater insight from industry practitioners, NUS Law also invited Mr Gautam Narasimhan (Partner, Allen & Overy) to speak on International Financings and Indian Companies; Mr Rajiv Gupta (Partner, Latham & Watkins) to share on Indian Companies and the International Capital Markets and Mr Amit Dhume (Partner, CNP Law) to speak on Regulatory Matters.
