Intellectual Property Experts discuss issues in Media & Entertainment
Jointly organised by the Centre for Law & Business at NUS and the Applied Research Centre for Intellectual Assets and the Law in Asia at SMU, the Panel Presentation in January 2016 at the SMU Li Ka Shing Library featured selected contributions from the forthcoming book Research Handbook on Intellectual Property in Media and Entertainment, edited by Professors Megan Richardson and Sam Ricketson for Edward Elgar, UK.
The focus of the book is on contemporary aspects of intellectual property law relating to media and entertainment, and chapters will cover topics such as: Lego and the International Intellectual Property System, 1955- 2015 (Dan Hunter); Transformative Play in the Digital Age (David Tan); Trademarking Creative Works: Should Intellectual Property Become Just Dessert” for the Entertainment Industry?
