Law Students Recognised for Work on Legalese

July 1, 2016 | Student

Three NUS Law undergraduates, Jia Ying Chua ’19, Jess Cheong ’18 and Joshua Kow ’17 have been recognised for their work on Legalese, the Law Society’s legal handbook for non-profits and social enterprises.

The latest edition of the book launched on 1 July, is described as “a toolkit which equips community organisations by simplifying essential legal information with which they can better structure and expand their activities.” In putting this book together, the students assisted in the research for content, worked with attorneys, and helped prepare drafts for portions of the book.

Copies of Legalese are available at no charge at the Pro Bono Services Office, or can be downloaded at http://probono.lawsociety.org.sg/Documents/LEGALESE_Second Edition.pdf
