NUS Law adds Legora to its AI ecosystem following partnerships with Harvey and Lucio

As the legal industry undergoes a technological shift, the National University of Singapore Faculty of Law has been taking decisive strides forward. This week, NUS Law officially partners Legora, an agentic operating system for legal professionals, giving its students and faculty access to a total of three leading global AI platforms.
The integration of Legora builds strategically upon NUS Law’s existing partnerships with Harvey and Lucio. By broadening the array of AI platforms available, NUS Law is uniquely preparing its students for the realities of modern practice.
Through Legora’s Legal AI Scholars Program, NUS Law faculty and students will use Legora for legal research, reviewing documents at scale and drafting. The platform is designed to build capability rather than shortcuts, so students also learn to evaluate AI outputs critically and defend their reasoning.
Because different law firms, corporate legal departments and jurisdictions rely on diverse AI tools, exposure to a multi-platform ecosystem ensures that NUS Law graduates are adaptable, versatile and fluent in the tools shaping contemporary legal workflows across Asia and beyond.
The partnership also underscores NUS Law’s commitment to foundational excellence. Professor Tan Cheng Han, S.C. ’87, Chief Strategy Officer at NUS Law, emphasised a balanced, deliberate approach to technology: “Our students will spend their careers in a profession where AI is part of everyday legal work, and university is where they should learn to use it well.
“Good lawyering, however, still starts with reading cases closely, building a sound argument and taking responsibility for it. We will therefore introduce Legora only once students have established these foundations. The aim is for our graduates to be lawyers who understand when to rely on these tools, and when not to.”
Students will receive purpose-built guides, training videos and use-case-specific training sessions, while Legora works directly with faculty to embed AI exercises and assignments into existing courses. NUS Libraries will also work with Legora’s Singapore legal engineering team to facilitate access and run training sessions.
By blending cutting-edge agentic AI with rigorous traditional legal training, NUS Law continues to reinforce its position as Asia’s global law school—future-proofing its graduates to lead, innovate, and excel responsibly in an AI-empowered legal world.
